The Museum School of Avondale Estates is a public DeKalb County charter school that opened its doors in 2010. The museum-school concept is a proven model founded on research about how children learn best: through personal exploration and hands-on experience fostering exploration, discovery, and creativity. Our community school has been a “dream come true” for families in the TMS attendance zone, and our students are growing academically and socially each and every day as a result.
We hope you will consider attending the event, sponsoring, or donating an auction item to help us reach our goal of raising $120,000. These critical funds will be used to support our various student and teacher enrichment programs. These enrichment programs are an essential part of our proven school model of project-based learning. However, support for these programs is not part of the state and county funds we receive per student. These programs and partnerships have made TMS aleading charter school ranked in the top 6% of Georgia schools statewide.
